Dr. Jane T. Owel received her DVM from Michigan State University and began working at Mount Vernon Animal Hospital in July of 1988. In 1993, Dr. Owel became the hospital manager and in 1997, she and Dr. Miller purchased the practice.Dr. Owel's areas of special interest include internal medicine, dermatology and surgery. She was the 1999-2000 President of the DC Academy of Veterinary Medicine, the nation's oldest veterinary continuing education society.
Outside of the clinic, Dr. Owel is interested in figure skating, computer graphics and the internet, as well as being a collector of American Indian pottery and cats. |
Dr. Myra S. Miller received her DVM from Michigan State University in 1990, she joined the staff of Mount Vernon Animal Hospital in the spring of 1996 and in 1997 became an owner.Dr. Miller's special interests include internal medicine, especially endocrine disorders, cardiology, and ophthamology.
An avid dog trainer, Dr. Miller shows her dogs in both obedience and conformation. She is a member of the English Foxhound Club of America, the Mount Vernon Dog Training Club, and teaches obedience with the Northern Virigina Dog Training Association. |
